That California Lifestyle ...
Hook & Reel got some good ass crab legs..... :wow:

" I got a feeling nikka really that my money be the root
Look up at the stars she like honey where the roof?
Pull up hear the dogs canaries they goin roof
Even once had a job pouring tar up on a roof
That boy had it hard no facade its the truth
So now when I Menage and get massaged its the proof
Proofs in the pudding and that baking sodas taking
Paper that I'm making got her taking photos naked
Listening to nikkas like whistling at Wendy Williams
I flip my middle finger I'm chilling on 20 million
The rumors turn me on I'm masturbating at the top
These hoes so excited they catching every drop
I'm dodging the debacles like pot holes in Jamaica
We cut down the weed bury the paper on them acres
Martin had a dream bob got high I still do both but somehow I got by "

Smart kid, and a fair response.

(Not related to any current events around these parts but) One thing about that metaphor that I never see discussed is, the crab attempting to escape the bucket can't do it without having other crabs beneath him. He's attempting to free himself off their backs (their collective mass at the bottom). There has to be others also in your precarious position up under you for that escape to even be possible. And equally important, escape isn't possible for everyone. Maybe something to be said of those willing to sacrifice for just one to escape their peril, but also the natural reluctance of being used as a stepping stone when your fate is essentially sealed by doing so.

That sounds like something I should ponder further when I'm blazed after work. Carryon yal

How did you arrive at this alternate take?

As opposed to the traditional understanding of "pulling others down with you because if you can't succeed no one can" ?

Who or what adapts to living in a bucket?

Implicit in the "traditional understanding" is that all you are is a crab and can never be anything else, never learn better, never improve your situation because you'll simply default back to type.

People have ability to choose.
