Author knocked it out of the park:whoo:

I was listening to Cash Money/No Limit rap in the 90s about the same shyt trap rappers are rapping about now but let these "golden age" dudes tell it it was just pac and biggie :mjlol:

the CM/NL dudes were rapping on harder beats and better production quality as a whole. Mannie wasn't hoping on trends he was creating a sound. All that trap shyt today literally sounds the same, same drums same sounds. Also, Birdman/Master P were raelly bout that trap shyt.....these nikkas today arent. Future and Fetty Wap aint selling no pies, ever.

Basically, that 90s shyt was more authentic, at least in the example u brought up.

You wish I was a cac, Cac :squmad:

The genre, present day is shytty. It takes ZERO talent to make it on Hip Hop radio.

Hip Hop is the most popular genre right now, but quality wise it's near the bottom.

Partially because nikkas hate to buy music, and that's one of the reasons why cacs were able to dictate our culture :squmad:
u are the exact defenition of one of them "bububu real hip hop" cacs

Literally was thinking about this today. This should be pinned at the top of every "mainstream" music video on youtube. All points are true.

What the writer failed to convey in his off-base comparisons is that mix-a-lot was just one lane during his era. He wasn't the WHOLE FUKKING HIGHWAY!!! That is the major point these young dudes be missing. There is actually a lane for Future, but the lack of creativity and versatility of the genre is actually whats killing it! Hate all you want, truth is truth :manny:

Although a couple points are valid, the writer does not know enough about rap to be pontificating on it. There are better posts on the Coli about rap. He should join a rap board, read and learn. Get this amateur posturing outta here.
yea, as soon as he said "1995 is as far back as my memory goes" is when i disregarded everything that was said
