Spittin' The Truth
I've been wondering a lot on what the actual origin for the term "cracker" is and if the present definition has any basis in it (apparently the real meanings been lost); been searching up and found this: http://www.topix.com/forum/afam/TN2Q9VNJHPR9MNNRF
Don't know if the user just made it up but it seems to make sense, especially considering poor whites in Florida call each other crackers like it's nothing.
Here's another example: http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/114806/where-does-the-term-cracker-come-from-and-how-disparaging-is-it I wouldn't be surprised if this word was a cover up and turned it into "cracking of the whip" to make the word seem like we're shytting on ourselves throwin' the term around and to make it less hurtful for whites but I guess the truth comes out one way or another.
So any thoughts?
