I have no strings on me.
I was selling my old iphone, she pulls up in her car and im doing the transaction through her window...she was like can i see the phone to make sure it work..so we sitting there for like 5 mins going through the phone and she hands me a wad of cash some im like.
And as i started to count the shyt she burns out. Im like
look down at the wad of cash and it had peices of gum wrapper rolled up with it to make it look thicker. So i got in my car and followed her home....and the rest is history. Got my phone and some money.
Damn, you should of known something was up when she didnt want to get out of the car.. But hey at least you got your stuff back.

I'll never deal with craigslist again, at least for buying/selling.

- Trying to buy a car off there was the worst, so many people on there trying to sell lemons
- Lowball email offers of Two-Thirds of what I was asking when my price is already the lowest on CL
- People asking if I want to trade, when I already said I wasn't interested in trading in the listing
- Country bumpkins wanting me to drive 25 miles outside of the city limits to make the deal
As far as race goes, I've been scammed on CL twice for a total of $70. My fault because I knew these were both raggedy brothers in ghetto areasCraigslist has plenty of bottom-of-the-barrel white trash too, though.

I had another one where I went to the meeting spot but the buyer stood me up. I had suspected that this would happen because he started giving me one word replies in our email conversation.

Mine has been hassle free if you discuss everything through email/text, sometimes it can take a long time to get someone to bite after going through the bullshyt people who come off as half interested and try to lowball you.
Man I bought a car, 3k cash, and it had a shyt ton of problems with it. I never could tell. First, the strut was messed up when you went over a substantial bump. Got that fixed. Cost a g

2 weeks from purchase, check engine light comes on. Replaced some oil thing, cost 7 hunnit
2 weeks later the CEL comes on AGAIN. This time the fukk head of a mechanic told me the engine is "dying" and I need it replaced. 2.5 fukking K.
2 weeks later. THE fukkING LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN!!!!!
The mechanic is gonna tell me some shyt about needing a catalytic converter which is gonna cost around 2 hunnit.
Haven't got that done yet.
This whole situation got me in a murderous mood.

i copped a ipod off of there about 2 years ago from another cac, he tried to sell it for 150 and i talked him down to selling it for 120 because i threatened to buy from somebody else

I've made alot of great deals on craigslist, but fukk anyone who shows up after an agreed price talking about man all I got is this. Example: Agree on deal to sell tv for $500, guy shows up talking about man I only got $400 I hope it wont be a problem. A waste of got damn time.
nah usually it wont be that big of a difference. usually it's over $5-10. like they'll show up with $495 and ask you if it's cool.
that's why I usually meet up at a wal mart so they can go inside and get more money easily.
also hate people who will bring that last $5 dollars in quarters.
