Actually it's a prehistoric mammal (not a tiger) evolving into whales. Whales evolved out of land animals that returned to sea. They have the vestigal parts to prove it.

You're right, it wouldn't be logical if someone assumed the midget was a human ancestor based only on that scenario. In this scenario, though, we have much more information, including transitional forms between the land mammal ancestors and modern whales that have been dated appropriately.

I wouldnt call them little legs. I also wouldnt say whales once walked on land because i dont know the answer to the question you just proposed. Its the equivalent to an atheist taking the explanation of *god did it* as to the origins of the universe, friend.
