Looks interesting:

Hoping this doesn't come through and crush the buildings on rewards. I just got hip a few years ago to the value of switching primaries every now and then.

I stuck with a business card with a high cap for ages (partially due to the exceptional payment protection, large insurance on purchases, 2 years of extended warranty on top of what the product had) but switched to Freedom Unlimited Signature and ate off that unlimited 1.5+1.5 for the first year AND there is a plus up at 12 months for $300. That card alone is going to pay for a new computer. Add in occasionally signing up for introductory rewards cards that give $200 for a $500 purchase, the only downside has been the dip in credit age and that hasn't harmed anything that I can see thus far. Having good credit and using those rewards give some clutch added bonuses that can purchase the little wants for free when the needs are already taken care of.

I went with the Citi double cash.

More established.
I use a combination of the X1 card and the Fidelity Visa to get 2% cash back. I product changed my Citi Double Cash into a 2nd Citi Custom Cash so I can get 5% back on 2 separate categories a month or if needed I can double up on the same category.

I already have two Citi Custom Cash cards. I can't remember which card I product changed into my second custom cash but I did that two years ago.

I applied for the double cash about 2 months ago.

Yep, had it for 3 years now. Done swiped it all over the world with no issues. I prefer it over my AmEx Platinum
I have the preferred and like it a lot. Been thinking of upgrading to the preferred. I travel at least 3x a year domestically to go see family. Also maybe work trip 2 - 3x a year. My local airport does not have a lounge yet but will and being that I travel through Houston and Atlanta it may be worth going from a $95 to $250 annual fee (i say that because 550 - 300 travel credit) plus I have a high salary so should balance out.

Also I think I can rack up significant point doing CSR + Ink Preferred + Freedom Flex
