That happened to me, but they replaced my funds as soon as I made the call. If you have a bank account with like a top 5 bank, they have fraud alerts and if you dispute the charges; they will credit your money, same business day. Because they will conduct an investigation into the facts after your dispute, not make you wait around until they determine what's going on. Banks charge fees for everything. I do feel bad for people with those money cards (like green dot or something like that) or check cashing cards that don't have actual accounts, because it's harder to dispute and prove- once the money is gone.. it's gone.

We put all this brain power and sweat equity into doing illegal activity for a “good run” (handful years at best) and then go to prison. Why not put it towards a legitimate endeavor? Too focused on the short term win which is nothing but a set up for the long term L.

I think most major banks have the same type of protection/coverage now, so like someone said it’s more of an inconvenience now, but at the same time some people aren’t as fortunate and can’t afford to have their money tied up. Somebody on their last who has an emergency may not be able to wait a business day to handle their issue.

I know some scammers, and I keep telling myself not to get involved, but I could easily just run the money through Monero or Zcash a few times before buying back into Bitcoin and there would be no real way to tell where I got it from and I'd just pay taxes on the shyt as I would any other crypto gains
