If you dont mind sharing..who did you have pay for delete success with?

I was fighting with this company called RJM Acquisitions about some BMG music group stuff. I kept disputing it and they would take it off but then sell it to someone else. It was under $100 but didnt want to pay it because I didnt owe them but it was killing my credit so I just did the pay for delete but for 50% of the amount owed. They accepted it and it was originally like $70 but I only ended up paying like $30 and they removed it.

I own a pretty penny for a CC (less than $10k)

U sayin' I should ask them, for that, so it won't wreck my credit after I pay it off

Is it to the actual credit card company or is the debt owned by a collection agency now?

My Score was 731 as of Nov 1. The highest I remember it being was 769 but I closed some accounts which affected it negatively. My debt to income ratio is close to 38%

When I joined the military mines was at 720.....a couple of bad credit cards and it dropped to 595 now its back up close to the 700's again.....Paid off the credit card, store card from Macy's, and paid off a couple of loans I had through my Credit Union....it jumped up something serious....

could be pushin' that thang i want right now, i make the money but u know what? good credit>>>>money

Good credit only means you're responsible with borrowing money and paying it back on time. No matter how much money you have, if you can't grasp the concept of borrowing and paying something back on time, you're still going to struggle with bad credit. Bad credit is just a symptom of bad financial behavior.

Money is always better because you can't spend what you don't have.

no it won't
Yeah they want you to have an installment loan on your credit report. I wonder if the consolidation loan I just got will improve my credit score as it zeroed out most of my credit cards balances.

My bank is in the process of movin' it to collections

Its always better to work with the original creditor, so call you bank and see if you can get on a payment plan. 10K is alot! If it goes to collections, you'll just end up on payment plan with them because how much of that 10K can you actually pay? You can offer a collection agency a % of the amount owed but if you're going to ask them to delete it, they are going to want one lump payment most likely.

Most likely no. You consolidated so you still have X amount of debt just for 1 account instead of several.

I can't pay now

You're sayin'; call my bank and stop them from moving me to collections and create a payment plan?

Yes, call them and tell them whatever your hardship is and why you fell behind in your payments. See if they would be willing to accept monthly payments from you. They are going to sell it to XYZ collection agency for pennies on the dollar anyway. If they see you are willing to pay the debt down they might be willing to work with you.

If you can't pay now, with what money are you going to set up a payment plan with?
