you never heard about, idk, the thousands of people in jail that are innocent? my state executes people on flimsy evidence monthly.

theres still people missing that were taken away from the blm/george floyd protests in black vans

our jails are a fukking disgrace. for all the accountability we have for our prison system, we may as well be Brazil.

American prison focuses on punishment and not rehabilitation. The goal is to make you so miserable you won't return.

But it doesn't matter because the corruption in prison is insane and people with connections can get the things they want.

this is bullshyt and a violation of the constitutions eighth amendment

american society is sick. were not far off from doing trial by combat on tv in this country

yo i remember listening to a podcast called Swindled. He did an episode where he mentioned how the prisons were given stipends by the state, then the higher-up prison employees (ward??) would skim hella money on the prisoners food just to line his own pockets from that stipend. It was criminal and the amount of food was low as well as the quality was horrendous and got people sick. The situation is literally nauseating.
