@ at anyone co-signing this. Thatβs not taking a shot, thatβs being flat out desperate, pathetic, and not really even being prepared. You wanna get put on and not even have anything substantial already going? Not even a CD with a print-out insert with some contact info? No social media at all?

The sad thing about cats doing this is unless you're that true one in a million talent, you're really just showing a lack of proper boundaries and social cues, and you're also showing that you aren't hip to the business. Even if a lot of artists thought you were dope, without going through the proper channels, there's sometimes not even anything they could do to help you.
The best way to get on in 2018 is create your own movement and make it seem like a bad idea for someone to not want to get in on it. The days of free styling for your heroes and getting out on are basically over, and it never happened all that much to begin with.
A&Ring is a lost art. The industry is lazy and doesn't want to have to develop any artists. They want you to come in ready to go with an entire process from start to finish and the ability to make an entire project.
