I see people still haven't distinguished the difference between net worth and how much liquid money you have.

oh I know the difference. I'm not disputing his net worth.

I'm just making it clear rappers are not "wealthy"...

misinformation/misrepresentation like this contribute to young boys thinking the music business is the place to be at if you wanna make money .

This thought process has birthed like 2 lost generations already smh :snoop:

Now i dont know much about that LA shyt, but i did watch the doc, b*stards of the Party, and they said that these two founded the crips

Tookie Williams and Ray Washington

l.jpg

Both of them dead

They also had this video from the Gong show on there.......sorry this shyt grainy as fukk.

Tookie had nothing to do with founding tha Crips, he joined later, he wuz from tha west side

Raymond Washington is tha one and only true founder of tha Crips, period.

1. Those business ventures, snoop dog rolling papers etc. Are advertisement deals, EXISTING companies pay rappers change to promote their product (how old are you???)

2. No one in the business longer than a 5yrs wants to be on tour. When you start out its fine, but once the novelty wears off you cant be fukked flying to nowheresville to sing n dance for cacs.

I don't know how much money you think there is in rap and the music business but all the cars, clothes, cribs you see these rappers in has been paid by the record label to keep up the image.

Record company is bogus, the only people making real money are those behind the scenes whos names you dont know. The rappers are basically expendable corner boys for the real drug dealers living in the hills.

Are you really putting words in my mouth then arguing with yourself asking how old I am? Did I specifically mention rolling papers? No I didn't. His production company he owns produces movies that tie into the brand. ON TOP OF THAT even if it is an ENDORSEMENT deal, that venture still requires Snoop Dogg to be relevant. Why would you have someone who is irrelevant promoting your shyt smart guy? There is a reason Tone Loc isn't promoting sun glasses right now.

Speak for yourself, you don't know if people do or do not want to be on tour. Maybe he is happy as fukk to be on tour and relevant. You don't know that shyt. You've NEVER IN YOUR LIFE been on a big tour as a head lining act. You are talking in absolutes. The Rolling Stones and Willie Nelson have been touring for 40 years, why can't Snoop Dogg?

Stop trying to act like you know the music industry because you have this preconceived idea they blow all their money on mansions, cars and chains. Some do, some dont. You talk too much in absolutes. There are PLENTY of musical artists that make a lot of money, have a lot of money, and continue to live well even after the fact. You have rockers from the 80s who still have all those nice things even after their insane partying. I am sure Snoop Dogg, who actually is less flashy than everyone else, has plenty of things he bought himself.

lol @ thinking these white rockers and black rappers are seeing the same money smh. Yeah them rock stars from the 80s got money, but historically white artists have not been raped financially like black artists. More so because of political reasons. How many rappers that were relevant in the 80s got long money? only a handful, LL, cube, dre.

Same shyt with NFL stars, people think they got money then they :why: when they here he broke after 4 yrs out the league.

Putting power to the myth that these rappers/sports stars are making millions aint doing shyt for black people.

I know how The Booth be and mfs wanna defend these fukk boy rappers tooth and nail but imma just call it what it is.

I'm going to see Snoop in 2 weeks, mfs is bugging if they think someone worth that is going to shytty england spending time away from his family. If he had that money he'd never have to work again.

You may be right in the sense that Snoop may not be worth that but your logic is off

First, as a performer and artist he may love what he does and get a sense of fulfillment from it

Second, he could very well have that net worth tied in assets and investments, but not have anything close to that liquid

doing shows around the world where hes collecting tens of thousands per show is his cash flow

Im sure he has a crazy overhead with mortgages, bills, kids education etc

Its not beyond comprehension that he would still be doing performances (which must be second nature for him at this point, and not even work, just one big party) and raking in hundreds of thousands a year

I just doubt you understand business.

All them music, movies, tv, commercials, endorsement deals are obligations when you sign a record deal.

Not savvy business sense from a rapper, his advisors are people hired by the record label.
Not sure if you mean a 360 deal or if you are saying the label sets up opportunities for him to promote himself but either way he still gets paid from it. He made the forbes list from 2007 to 2011 with seventy three million, made the list in 2012 with eight point five million (number fifteen), made the list in 2013 with ten million , made the list in 2014 with ten million dollars. There is one hundred million starting from 2007 alone with a career dating back to roughly 1992. Unless I'm missing something I stand by my statement.

No, I don't think Bill is the richest man in the world. There are bloodlines that made what he is reported to be worth centuries ago.
