Dude had a 5 hour convo b. They were mentioned in passing. You’re just triggered.

Triggered by what?..... I've purchased 1 Eminem album in my lifetime....I haven't listened to his music for 20 years.........I just don't like seeing black people being triggered by race bait...I see a lot of black bloggers do it....Let me say something ablut race so that I can generate buzz/c;licks/donations.....It's a cheap tactic.....He couldve just said I don't think Eminem is the greatest because.....

* He doesn't have a strong catalog
* He isn't into his music
* He made racist comments
Ect

But instead, he went straight for the "He's white angle"

I hope you not black. Matter of fact, I know you not black. :scust:

Well, I am black.....but I haven't listened to Eminem for 20 years.....He's not even one of my favorite rappers...I just don't like the cheap tactic of using race to trigger black people.

It's just silly. There's plenty of places that shyt on Eminem and rightfully so, he's been wack for a long time.

He still helped a lot of people make money, and those people will defend him. 50, Royce and them will be loyal to him for life, and why shouldn't they? Lol

MC Shan defended him, because let's be honest, who else is shouting out MC Shan in acceptance speeches and wearing T shirts of him to breathe some life into his catalog?

Em reposted a picture of himself with Shans tape and nikkas think Shan supposed to shyt on him .v :mjlol:

No. It’s all the same. If it ain’t measurable. Complaining about it makes it an even dumber argument. Because it’s all opinion right? No matter how u slice it. Umar is wrong. And like I said before. This SAME nikka was just calling hip hop in itself white supremacy a few weeks back.
Let's take that idea even further. Why are we even in The Booth then? It's all opinion what are we expressing different ones for like they matter? lol Bad argument chief.
I don't really give a fukk about Dr. Umar but I agree with him on this point.

The real question is why does someone whos made unlistenable music for a decade and a half even get brought up in discussions of who the greatest rapper is??

At the end of the day, if it wasn't for Dr. Dre Eminem would be Charron, an autistic battle rapper who doesn't know what to do with his hands when he raps.

Music is art and culture basketball is not. There are stats you can use to point out who is more effective. Not so much in music. And the cultural aspect is important. Em has gotten treatment from fans white ones in particular that provide him a huge advantage in "who is the best" discussions.
Those same white fans hoisted damn near everyone into superstardom, so you have to exclude them as a factor equally.

This is a false comparison. Being dominated by a certain demographic is different than something deriving and being inextricably linked to a culture. There’s nothing inherent to “white culture” about having the most doctors or lawyers in the US but something like pasta is associated with Italians and you’ll never ever hear that any other demographic has the greatest pasta chefs.
But once again, the argument is flawed, because there are things once linked to a specific culture that are no longer so, that are viewed as having someone outside said culture being viewed as a great. Secondly, it would be completely irrelevant depending on if En is viewed as being of the culture, which isn't explicitly tied to an ethnicity.

Even in your own example of pasta, that originated in China.

I normally don't jive with Dr. umar but in this case he's right. No way some white dude can be the best MC, this is our thing and Eminem isn't the best. Seriously, if he was Black he would not get the Dre cosign and would be some indie MC who maybe made a living off rapping.
A white person could. They just couldn't have a trash discography and be. Eminem's best work is pre-Encore. Most of what he's released including that album and after especially when he got off drugs hasn't been good.

At some point he decided he wanted to be taken seriously and not be a gag artist anymore and his work really suffered for it.

MMLP Eminem is the best version of him.
We got SSLP which he was aight MMLP which is his peak and ES which was again aight but Encore and everything after is mediocre at best and dreadful at worse. Two decades of middling results.

So a black person can never be the greatest baseball player, basketball player, football player.

Never can be the greatest pop musician, never can be the greatest country singer, never can be the greatest classical composer, never can be the greatest opera singer. Blacks can never be the greatest boxer, never can be the greatest MMA fighter, never can be the greatest Olympian, never can be the greatest power lifter.

There is nothing inherent to culture about being a excellent rapper, same as excellent jazz musician, or any genre of music.

So if you aren't going to be consistent just openly say whites can't be great in black genres because they are white but it's the opposite for blacks in white genres right?

It's absurd and foolish.

Emenins talent speaks for itself and if folks view him as the greatest or not let actual analysis on his work be the decider not his race.
