Even Em kinda looked at him like :dwillhuh:

BUT to his credit...Em does have beats that ended up on classic albums and are quite good. From Hov’s “Moment Of Clarity,” Pac and Biggie’s “Runnin,” 50’s “I’m Supposed To Die Tonight, Cashis “Ms Jenkins” (which is VERY underrated btw), and a few more.

As for the rest, it’s hit or miss. But mainly those beats are custom made mainly for him and him only..

Hell I remember a story about Kanye liking Em’s beats so much that he tried stealing a beat CD while he was working on the D-12 World album :russ: i wish i can find the link cuz it was a long time ago but I remember reading that vividly like :mjlol:

I remember reading that too...:russ:

He does got some good shyt, but being top 5...hell nah.

I think the TES era was probably his best shyt overall. After that it's been really hit or miss

Eminem is no Alchemist or anything but some of his beats during TES era were actually pretty good. I used to hear mixtape rappers spitting over Renegade, Till I Collapse, 8 Mile Road and Soldier all the time. Loyal To the Game was terrible though.

When you say producer rapper you gotta make it clear what the grading scale is. Some people are way better producers than they are rappers (Kante), some are way better at rapping even if they have had some success producing.

You trying to see who's the best rapper who makes beats? The best producer who raps? Which side has more weight? Depending on how you see it, your top 5 list could look very different.

Now if it's about who has the best BALANCE of talent on both ends, say like a Havoc or someone like that, then it's a different ballgame.

The problem is an interview is supposed to be about addressing things, being fair etc.

This was the same problem with Nore's interview of Nas.

Charlamagne is a trollish fakkit who is overly opposing at times but an interview is supposed to talk about what people are interested in and get truth.

Thus shyt felt like an advertisement, cirlce jerk more than an interview.

But, that’s the thing. Crooks Corner has never been the prototypical interviewing format. It’s basically homies shooting the sh*t and the fact that cats was expecting this to be a 60 minutes style interview is perplexing to me.

Even removing all that, he did address the content criticism and being a guest in Hip-Hop. Albeit briefly. But, it was addressed.

my list earlier in the thread was pretty much anybody who raps who makes the best beats, it’s why I had no problem putting Dre & Ye there knowing they don’t write most of their shyt:yeshrug:

All he needs is musical direction, with the right person to take care of the musicality, all he'd have to do is rap..and he can still rap his ass off.

I say Royce or Kendrick should EP his next project.

I see he gave props to Da Baby :obama:

I actually think westside gunn would be perfect
