Crypto assets are increasingly being pledged as collateral for personal loans.

Good. The traditional banking system is dated and trash. Whoever came up with the original idea for banks is a genius tho. Got everybody depositing their money with them, and then investing it elsewhere... if you try and pull all your bread out of a bank, or a large amount out see what happens.

:mjlol:

DeFi is not going anywhere and for good reason.
this is all based on the US Dollar though. Its nto intrinsically valued.

yall been saying crypto will fall for years :laff: Just accept it, shyt is here to stay :shaq:

No lie the OP has post from 7 years ago talking shyt about Bitcoin

This was 2014 when BC was well under $1k

I'm guessing you don't know what money is :heh:

That being said, bitcoin still has a few philosophical barriers to ever being taken seriously.

shyt when from $500 when he posted that to $65k and he still hates it

My 401k, savings, checking and investment accounts say otherwise.

But do tell how do you plan on killing yourself once the Blockchain ledger is thoroughly compromised by criminal actors and your entire crypto portfolio goes to zero

Everything in hindsight, but If you look at crypto from just 5 years ago, it easily beats out everything you have. When are you looking to retire and with how much?

If there's a quicker way out this system e.a., best look into it

The concern is that it could cause another financial collapse.

If I provide monopoly money as collateral for a 30k loan, what incentive is there for me to repay that loan?

Funnily enough, I don't care about the average Joe doing this shyt but it is obvious to me that such exploits will be abused by those who find themselves with a golden parachute.
This makes no sense, because monopoly money is worthless.

I got crypto but I'm not even putting that much $ in there and I'm cashing out when the market is good.

You're sky diving without a chute if youre buying crypto with borrowed money or spending several thousand or even hundreds of thousands. And I've been seeing people doing this. I just look at them like 'couldn't be me' right now I have less than 2k in crypto. I can take that L if the market crashes cause my portfolio is pretty diversified
Same been only putting in whatever means I can handle. Just feels like savings account on ADHD right now. Only picked a few coins.

basically this money is just my “what if” money Im fine with losing, cause what if I miss out AGAIN? I would never forgive myself. If I lost it all I still got money in other places

you proved my point. you just replaced something unstable with something even more unstable
But it's only 21 million btc (like 16-18 million still accessible) so overtime it's going to be more stable. There's no cap on dollars, it's not tied to any asset so therefore it's limitlessly unstable because it's infinite. Unless we get put on an asset standard for the dollar to have it's value tied to people are going to look for anything to hedge their wealth against it, which is why we are seeing bubbles balloon out of no where, just look what happened to sports trading cards! You can't even get that shyt in the Walmart or target anymore.

Fam. nikkas are still calling this shyt a 'bubble', 'monopoly money' every year. It's crazy to see some black folks being so close minded to getting in early on the emergence of an entirely new asset class.

Will be the same nikkas 20 years from now saying it was luck :mjlol:
