BTC runs at 7tps MAX. That can not run the whole worlds money/transactions daily, much more hourly.
It was the king over a decade ago. Its time as passed. Only people from my era, or daily traders are making money from btc now.
Investing in it as a newbie now is a fools errand.
Even if you bought 1 btc at todays price, and it went all the way up to 1mill a btc, you would only 10x...so what is it the king of?

every new cycle its some new bullshyt coin, they have a nice run against bitcoin for like 6-12 months and then they lose value against bitcoin for the rest of their existence

In fact I am stressing the opposite. I have stressed that btc has no utility anymore. Eth introduced smart contracts in 2015 and have utlity coins built on it's network, so ETH has some utility. However, it won't remain as the top dog, marketcap wise, for smart contract blockchain tech in the future.

Btc and eth in 2025 are not the best crypto investments because their futures are shaky. If you listen to the BIS or goverments that are gearing up for tokenization, CBDC, stablecoin implementation, etc, in the near future, they all agree that settling anything using the eth or btc blockchains or cryptos is ludacris and insanely expensive. This makes them not good long term investments especially when other blockchain technologiea are named in WEF white papers that are performing better, but moat importanrly have better tech behind them.
You sound like the nikkas that invested in blockbuster, and never thougt netflix would rock its ass because blockbuster was running shyt for decades.
While I think BTC is what the oligarchs want to create as the new dollar (strategic BTC reserve may or may not happen, but the intent is what I really care about)

I was talking about this the other day. Getting the government to create a stash of bitcoins is counter to everything Bitcoin was originally created for. But again it's just to drive up the price of Bitcoin so that those investors can make more money off of it. Like you said. Anyone that is trying to invest in Bitcoin in 2025 doesn't realize that they're at the very bottom of the pyramid and just funneling money upwards lol

When btc was 69k, like you brought up before, 99% of people investing in the coin did not buy a whole btc. They would have DCA'd into it with $50 here and $100 there. The odd person would drop a whole band+ on it.
Basic calculations will show you that they would not have even 1x their money in 2025 becase btc has not hit 138k.

And NO you don't need to invest in meme coins to get 5x to 10x returns. If you invested during the bear market, and held until january 2025, you could have reaped those rewards like i did.
Those were all utility tokens. My bags are still jacked even though there is a blood bath in the market.
