They will-

"For Ryse 2, we aren't saying it's cancelled. It's our IP. It just has to wait for the right timing. And the right timing means higher installed base across next-gen."

"Higher install base accross NEXT GEN"

Not just X1

So you read through the lines.

"Ryse is in the forecast of what Microsoft has always shared with us, and we didn't expect more than that".

He's happy with the outcome of ryse.

"Our goal always was for Ryse to be at the forefront of a next-generation console launch, which we have done," he said. "Ryse has received tremendous promotion and IP awareness. And Ryse is our IP. We do what we want to do with the future of Ryse. This is important."

He's also happy with the way Microsoft handled and promoted the game. But it's always been the case that they wanted to branch out with the franchise, which is why they retained ownership of the IP

"For Ryse 2, we aren't saying it's cancelled. It's our IP. It just has to wait for the right timing. And the right timing means higher installed base across next-gen."

Now they will wait until next gen has a large enough user base to warrant an investment on the sequel.

I know y'all want to hold on to the one Xbox quote, but its so much more to what he was saying about their situation and the industry in general. You should read the entire interview instead of just these cherry picked quotes.

When Ryse 2 come to PS4. I wouldn't buy it someone will.
The fukk :snoop:

They said from day one that they retained ownership of the IP so they can bring it to other platforms. To my knowledge Crytek has NEVER had a game exclusive to one platform.

Think you learned something cause you only pay attention to faux "news" brehs :heh:

I don't get the fanboys on this. They were trashing this game and now suddenly its worthy of any sort of discussion?

Breaking news potential sequel to game deemed garbage potentially coming to PS4 some unspecified time in the future?
