And a few of those guys only talk negative and that’s it
They rely on bitter fans who can relate to them hating on more successful people and blaming them for their failures.

Real nasty work.

I think DeHaven was the trailblazer for that movement. I know Cuban was running that “I got done dirty by [named rapper]!” gimmick a few years prior on them DVDs, but as far as bringing it to YouTube, DeHaven earned that banner for all the blood, sweat and tears he put into making that hater movement so viable on these platforms.

Dehaven was a prime hater. Its disgusting. Nobody cares about what new music Cuban has out or what’s going on in his life. It’s like as soon as some drama happens in fat Joe’s life and they looking for a soundbite from somebody who hates him you the first person they call. Keep in mind I’m not gonna sit here and act holier than thou, like I’m not listening to the interview but honestly we’ve been hearing to the same shyt for damn 20 years. I mean at this point what are you doing dog? you just waking up in the morning and you like “fukk Fat Joe “

Why didn’t he want Joe involved?
Cause he and Joe weren't really that cool, so he didn't want to be tied to and having to pay Joe since he (Cuban) had his own label thing going. That's really all to it. Cuban even said before that he got his release, he paid Joe the fee, they shook hands and parted ways peacefully. Their actually beef didn't start until later.

Cuban Link would’ve dropped an album for sure under different circumstances. I remember seeing an ad for an album “coming soon”. Armageddon didn’t have much of a future unfortunately.
Atlantic was a bad label for Cuban though. He got shelved because of his singles didn't do what they were supposed to do. They wanted Joe/Pun type movement.

Look at the rest of TS. :yeshrug: Joe keeps them under his feet and siphoning the work and change.

Even the most loyal dude in Armageddon was kept in the revolving door for his entire tenure and cited wanting to be foreground as a reason for having left. That like right before Armageddon's song on Don Cartagena "Everybody gotta wait their turn" yet Joe dropped like 50x more times after, using Armageddon's work.

Not saying Joe a saint, but the fact none of these dudes done anything since parting ways got to count for something.

Cuban Link, Armageddon, Triple Seis and Prospect was all dope but they basically quit the industry and ain't even try to carry on without Joe's backing. Remy blamed Joe for her album bricking but ain't done a thing since, except when she got back with Joe. She got two hits in her career, both with Joe.

Truth is Terror Squad was doomed without Pun. Cuban and Remy could have been gold status rappers with Pun co-sign, features and guidance but Joe never really had the juice or popularity to make another artist off association. Pun was the exception because he was an elite talent with crazy natural charisma.

Yeah, Remy had to leave to basically get the ball rolling. Joe opts to do it again after she gets her own buzz going. The only official TS projects to drop that ain't Fat Joe was Remy Ma and DJ Khaled, over the entire existence of the label. :beli:

And for me, tbh, I think all those dudes drop albums if Pun was around. Not so much through co-sign or whatever, but he did want to see them all get the shot. Joe did not give a shyt, just make his albums in the dungeon. But Pun was looking out for people and trying to get them in the door. Everyone would trade Joe for Pun in a microsecond. :skip:

I need to find that Fat Joe video of him spewing nonsense about 24K. It's like the peak of the TS era, the presumed single has P!nk on it and a Caribbean infused beat, the marketing is going to be everywhere, no way in heckarooni does that album only project to do like 20,000 units in 1999-2000. I remember looking into things deeper once I saw that interview and eventually got on the side of "Fat Joe is fat because he takes from everyone else". :yeshrug:

Agree with a lot of what you're saying. Just don't think the Terror Squad brand had much value without Pun. Joe had a track record of success to get a decent budget, but was Atlantic really gonna put up money for an Armageddon or Prospect album?

Cuban and Armageddon was talented enough they could have kept grinding and had solid independent careers. But Cuban album on Universal bricked and he done nothing since except complain about Fat Joe. Seis bounced right after Pun died, released one album and disappeared. Armageddon and Prospect been MIA since they left TS after True Story. To me that's a sign they ain't have the dedication to make it in the first place without the Pun cheat code.
