Nah they actually hire him to play the cuckold role in one of their home movies. Which is odd, because its usually the other way around but I guess that'd ruin the plot

That’s the point but the reality is more jarring. He sees literally the same scene we just did and thinks his power has been stripped from him. The way he pervertedly distorts and bends reality is what’s terrifying about people like that
