How dumb are they?

They look dope as fukk, but I'm leery about getting one because people say they're dumb

Ours is smart as fukk. She knows who to fukk with at certain things. She's an alarm clock, she wakes up certain people. She changes what she's doing depending on whose voice she hears in the house. When she's outside she acts different depending who's out. If my mom or granddaughter come in she gets extra protecting.

She's a smart dog. She knows what she can pull with each person in the house.

How many times have they pissed or shyt in the house?

What items of value have they chewed or otherwise destroyed?

Luna destroyed 5 mattresses and 6 couches before I had her training down pat

It was my own fault for it, hit rock bottom in life and shyt was really fukked up. She was bored when I was on the verge of blasting my brains out

I learned from my mistakes, and made sure Nova was trained properly/had enough attention when I was raising her

Huskies shed hair like crazy especially 2X a year. They’re a working breed so not dumb just stubborn. Training just takes patience.

Training does take alot of patience. More so than any other breed I've ever owned

What made you want to get Huskies over other breeds?

Well, huskies are famous for having different colored eyes
I actually have one brown eye, and one blue eye
So growing up, they were my dream dog

I heard that an owner should never let a husky go outside without a leash on or else they will run away. Is this true?

100% agree
They can be trained to not run away.. but that is after YEARS of training
They are known escape artists
I let them in the backyard which is fenced in (I built a fence and gate) but still check up on them every few minutes
I will get there one day with my girls

I’ve heard Huskies are high maintenance, how true is this?

Very true! They require a ton of attention and love. They view themselves as companions, not pets
Honestly my girls are treated the same as humans

We own a Sapphire Husky. 2 years. She wants to throw paws & play, lay in the snow. But she does chew up shyt.

I have to shake the treat bag for Nova
Luna listens very well

I really hope you don't plan on breeding more them once. My female had a litter and hated that shyt. Literally stopped fukking with the puppies after she saw I would take of them. Not to say your dogs will be the same but don't turn your dogs into baby factories especially considering you don't know how the puppies will be treated.

I'm not going to breed them more than two litters

I didnt breed Luna her first 3 heats because I didnt want to ruin her temperament.

Was about to wipe myself off this earth, Luna poked the door open with her nose.. and came in. She looked up at me with worry in her eyes
At that moment, she saved my life
& I said I will change my life for the better and do everything I can for her

Golden retrievers are dumb lol
Bulldogs are dumb
Poodles are the smartest by far
But Huskies have a very high IQ
Its crazy

Next dog is probably gonna be Akira, or German shepherd. In general I like the Spitz type. German Shepherd probably the best dog to have.​

That coat is one of the prettiest on any dog

I have had Corsos, Rotts, Dogos, Belgians, Dobermans and Pits. All our dogs were trained and worked. What I want with a Husky? Something to be cute and useless? That's what I had a cat for.

It's a generalization. Doesn't mean your dog is dumb but the breed itself, is not particularly intelligent and not particularly quick witted in regard to training. They require more repetition than the average dog to set in training. People will say it's because they "have so much personality" or some dumb shyt when basically the Husky is that kid in class who makes everyone when he starts to read. Can he read? Yes. Can he read well? No.
