:whoa: A lot of people getting they panties in a bunch in this thread. A lot of people also lack comprehension, but I'm not surprised because I see that a lot here. In no way shape or form did I mention that I wanted Curren$y to speak about political issues, although I wouldn't be opposed to it. I would just prefer that he expands his subject matter, because it's very limited. He could make a song about granola bars for all I care, as long as he doesn't mention in the song that he's eating granola bars because he has the munchies...from smoking weed:mjlol:

I desire that he does that because I'm a fan of his lyrical ability, but his music gets stale and redundant after a while. I'm probably one of the few people in here who is not a regular weed smoker (2-3 times a year) but listens to his music. I like Curren$y so much that I went to one of his shows and didn't even blaze up for Christ sakes:heh:

He's a one dimensional rapper. Anybody debating that shyt is foolish, and letting their bias hinder their ability to give an objective opinion

I agree with the OP Curren$y is one dimensional and releases way too much material. I messed with Pilot Talk 1 & 2 and Covert Coupe Heavy, but after that he sounded repetitive and flat. Weekend @ Bernies and The Stoned Immaculate were the last straws for me as a fan. I put all his cds on ebay and called it a day. Too many cats out here putting out dope diversified music to listen to that nonsense.

Big K.R.I.T. does what spitta does better with more content and feeling behind it.

But KRIT fuccs with Spitta HEAVY breh

Oh and Curren$y is more technical than he gets credit for imo.

Definitely. That lazy slow flow keeps boys fooled when he actually spittin and his rhyme schemes are dope

It's one of my points. It's hard to listen to a nikka talk about weed every verse when you're not a weed head. If he diversified his topics, then being a weed smoker wouldn't be a prerequisite to enjoying his music. I still fukk with him because he's that good lyrically, but I'm not at the point in my life where I can sit around and listen to a nikka rap about weed all day. That shyt gets played out after a while. When I was younger and used to blaze all the damn time it was different. I got way too much important shyt going on now to even think about weed, so an artist like Curren$y doesn't appeal to me like he once did.
