Basically, how you handle it proactively. If you want to sit back let your collaborator dis your other collaborators on your production and label it's at least disappointing if not kinda disrespectful to Spitta. He would handle it differently. Your claiming neutrality but could have took your neutrality a step further. Alfredo 2 is an ALC Records release, he has the control.

100% - it’s like people are purposely misreading the quotes because they wanna dikk ride ALC lool

Doesn't he listen to the songs like a hundred times in the creative process anyway? It's not some huge task to make sure he's not dissing his other collaborators.
Freddie is the one throwing shots but Spitta is emotional? You got it twisted. And this is about the music. The lyrics more specifically. I'm sure if Freddie got on some Kanye, "F the Joos!" shyt he wouldn't chalk it up to creative expression. lol
Some people have a lower tolerance for disrespect. All he is doing is removing himself from the situation. Freddie is the one in his feelings throwing shots.

It would be crazy as sh*t for him to be in the studio with Benny, listen to playback, stop the sh*t and say "Yeah, I don’t want you saying that about dude on this record", lol. He's friends with ALL of them. He doesn't want to tell them what to say or not say. Spitta is being emotional because he knows ALC is neutral. Don’t even worry about ALC. You have an issue with the shots, get in the booth and make some music. Nobody has time to pick sides between their friends. These are grown men.

He's not "removing himself from the situation". He's still working with ALC on the Larry June joint.

Pete Rock said the same about Common coming to him for "The B*tch In Yoo". He said he was cool with Cube before, but Cube was mad at him, but he said "I make beats. It is what it is and doesn't matter to me if someone wants to use me for a beat to get at somebody". He said, "It's dumb to think that because I made the beat then I have something to do with it". And that he thinks rappers need to just get things off their chest. That's how the GOAT producers always did sh*t. You don’t pick sides. Let the rappers rap.

What you call "crazy", I call being proactive and actually being neutral. He could tell whoever, "I wouldn't lwt them dis you on a project on ALC Records either".

And it sounds like the Larry June thing is done already. Going forward he said he's good. ALC's attempts at neutrality failed. :manny:

They'll be alright.

I honestly don’t think any of them have even spoken about it as much as we just did on here today. It's music and business for them. It's like Benny said that time on IG about Gibbs working with ALC, "I don’t care what they do. I'll be back with Uncle Al in like a week". And then ALC went on to do 1/2 his album with Hit-Boy.

Bro read the quote again. He isn’t working with ALC on the June project - it’s already done and he said it’s too good to not to release so they’re probably gonna put it out.

In that same quote, he clearly says twice he’s not working with Alchemist and also says he shouldn’t be letting people diss him on his tracks.

Point was that he was still working with ALC, after the Fetti sh*t fell apart for them, 6-7 years ago.

I said he was being emotional, for a reason. You just highlighted it in your second sentence.

Spitta spoke to ALC directly and said he wouldn't do that to him. So they spoke about it enough. They have a difference of opinion and Spitta is pulling back.

That's literally why I said dude was being emotional, lol.

And that's his right to feel whatever. But that doesn't mean everybody else is going to follow whatever Spitta is feeling. Everyone is just pushing forward and making music. That's why I said, "make music or don’t". His feelings on whatever don’t mean everyone else needs to fall in line.

He isn't telling anyone to do anything. He is saying he doesn't appreciate what has happened in the past and due to that I'm making changes going forward. That's not emotional that's evaluation. Still dissing someone for what again? Oh, not promoting an album the way he sees fit from almost a decade ago. That's emotional IMO.

I didn't get he's "done" working with Alchemist "for the foreseeable future" from that. There's no context of what that was replying to

That said if all we have to look to is Continuances out of them now, keep it. Covert Coup was Alc's crown jewel for a bit after it came out. It's still great, but that's a long time ago, it's not on Alc's radar in 2025. Same time it's most likely still Curren$y's best body of work, hasn't sounded as hungry since. It's kinda one sided

That response sounds a bit dismissive, no doubt emotions from Gibbs running his mouth all these years. But if it's true he stopped communicating around that time altogether, sorry, a kid ain't causing that.

I don't expect hand waving all the disrespect off but you can't be clean either. All straight, keep doing what you do to keep Benz coming in and hopefully we keep getting Alfredos, everybody wins
Curren$y was promoting Fetti on the lead up more than Gibbs was. He completed his part of the album first and even was begging Gibbs to finish it. Gibbs got gassed cause of the response of the album and people were basically dismissing Spitta on it and saying how dope Gibbs was on it. So Gibbs looks at that as HIS album I'm betting at this point. Prior to the post release hype. Gibbs acted like he ain't even give a fukk about that shyt. And he's acting like a bytch. They didnt even get in the studio together for it. Spitta picked the beats. It wasn't like the album had a huge budget. nikka just rapped over pre done songs for the most part. So for him to be carrying on like this damn near 10 years later is wild p*ssy.

“I told Alchemist I’m not gonna play ‘The Boy Is Mine’ with dude - y’all got it….”

Don’t see how this can be interpreted any other way
It can be interpreted a different way if you understand where he is coming from. Gibbs does exactly what Spitta said in your quote in producer/rapper collabs - he did the same thing with Doom/Madlib when he was working on Bandana trying to throw shade on Madvillany.
