we just need variety. everyone using the same sounds same drums same tempo. buncha sheepTo be frank... Even Sonny Digis trap beats were getting rendundant.
So this a nice breath of air freshener from a talented producer.
If u can fluidly work an MPC and understand the physiology of beat making software, why limit ur sounds to simplified, generic and overused trap beats?! It was cool in 2010-13 when it hit the scene... Now its just too weathered and saturated. Beating a dead horse i know... But these producers are beating an even deader horse force feeding us this triteness.
Be real... U know it got bad when white Party dj's and producers started making Trap EDM. The trap genre became a shell of its former self when it got too mainstream. But u cant turn a blind eye to it. Even Katy Perry and that Cyrus bytch got with the culture.
Let this trap shiit die.
.
hopefullyThis is tough...... Knowing spitta this will be out by May the latest

Well said and I definitely miss regional sounds. There was so much diversity in sound from just the south alone, state to state.Naw i get it. To not contradict myself, i still listen to a lot of trap-driven production. Only difference nowadays is that im uber selective of what makes it to the whip/ipod.
Yes, diversity in sound is what gives variety. Of course, there is still a ton if it around if u dig for it (which is one of the sole reasons the only radio stations i listen to are news/talk radio).
Obviously, gauging from responses, people still love and are married to trap-style music. I dunno breh, im an early 80's baby who turned 21 around the time where regional rap was just that. In one night of clubbing, youd hear: west coast, new york/east coast, dirty south, mid west music all in one dj session. Thats what i adored and revered about the music... And from a nostalgic perspective, appreciate it moreso now.
Btw... al Jerreau just passed.
Somebody needs to sample that Moonlighting track. I can hear spitta all over a tune of that interpolation.
Wouldna yall agree?
