Why? Currensy and Alchemist don't miss
Mostly for 3 reasons

- Spitta changed the title to make it a direct sequel to Covert Coup which raised expectations

- Spitta and Alc have both been dropping projects at a machine gun pace, so people could’ve been burned out.

- this album has more drumless beats than anything Alc has released in almost 3 years. A lot of The Coli doesn’t like those.

Dope tape - definitely from the family of Covert Coupe. This was the sound I wanted from them. There wasn’t anything that blew me away first listen like Scottie Pippen did but it’s ALC and Spitta.

Corvette Rally Stripes, Whale Watching, Signature Move, Louis Baggage, The Final Board, Jodeci Tape and Kool & The Gang are all fuego. I know Alchemist was mentored by Primo but for me he’s from the school of RZA - the way he flips those samples and bass notes :ohlawd:

But yep this is what I wanted from them. Carrollton Heist and Fetti were underwhelming to me as they were very ‘regular’ but the trippiness of this tape and CC is what’s required when ALC and Spitta link up.

I think that’s probably all of them besides maybe a freestyle or two. I know he freestyles over The Realest on ghost in the shell or ghost in the machine. Edit: @beaniemac Oh, also the massacre, love is a funny thing, and gateway to wizardry.

There should be 21 I think, I sent @beaniemac all of them a couple months ago

Also - big fan of both Larry June and Al but Endurance Runners didn’t quell my reservations on the Larry x ALC tape coming out this year - I think it’s just the beat though. Still not sure their styles mesh but ALC is a genius so I sure he can find a style for Larry like he has with Spitta.

Larry June and Cardo is absolute fukking money though.

Side note: Hav was perfect for Corvette Rally Stripes - Mobb type beat. Wish we could’ve got Banana Clip P on there :mjcry:

This shyt is borderline mid :unimpressed:

I haven't listened to a Spitta project in at least a couple of years and i'm reminded why....how do some of ya'll listen to his four albums+ a year and not get bored? :dwillhuh:

Maybe it'll grow on me but first listen found it pretty meh

The Final Board beat reminded me of some DOOM shyt though :banderas:
