:snoop: A dream that that at a time you actively pursued or tried to make work.

Oh, in that case, I actively pursued independent filmmaking while I was in HS, but my new dream job is to eventually become a Private Equity Firm Principal and use my power and money to influence politics :manny:

Current Job = Electronic Tech

Dream Job = Voice-over Actor

I used to be the kid that would try to make noises with my mouth, try to sound like other people and different accents. If lived in L.A. I would have definitely tried that to make it work. I know it's a lot of hard work but I could be famous and rich and not have to worry about papparazi following my every move. Some of these people don't even drive to work, they have a limo pick them up to take them to a studio.

THIS. Brad pitt just moved out to LA working odd jobs to support himself, trying to land a gig. today hes Brad Pitt:obama:

you never know unless you try. And even if you try and fail, your heart is at rest cause you have no regrets. I honestly wouldve never fell back on my pro boxing dream had it not be a sport with a very limited time frame and a high probability of brain damage:huhldup:

...went to school for law. then 3/4 of the way through undergrad, i realized being a lawyer sucks. so law school is scrapped im at a crossroads now trying to decide what i want to do
I don't know what changed your mind about law school. There are a lot of options. People just think you're either a defense attorney or on the other side as an district attorney. Working in a district attorney or commonwealth attorney's office doesn't pay that well unfortunately but if your focus is on moving on up to become a judge, that's the way to go. Judges get paid pretty well. If you become a partner in a big law firm, that pays well too. A friend of mine works doing research and writing legal books. He never goes to court. Kind of boring but pays well.

...Dream career/ job: Professional Boxer ...
That's a tough profession.

i did an internship with a law firm, and i got to experience the heavy paperwork, office time, billable hours and all that and it was just extremely draining.

So i decided to focus more on criminal law (prosecution side, defense has conflicts with my morals). Even if it gets paid way less than corporate/immigration, id prefer to be happy with my career.

towards the end of my undergrad i kept hearing about the low demand of the law field, couple that with i was already 70k in debt and this is only undergrad. Im not willing to rack up 200k+ in debt to make a 80k salary. Yea being a prosecutor (eventually a judge was my goal) is cool and all but for 80k in salary, id rather skip the law school, skip the political game trying to be a DA/judge, skip the debt, and pursue a true passion.

Haha I was in the nightclub circuit scene heavy like 2 years ago. I know how you feel. That shyt starts to become mundane as fukk. When you turn having fun into a business its stops being fun.

I cant even go into a club anymore. shyt is so wack to me. Havent stepped foot in a club for like 2 years.

man its just more work than it appears...there are a million and one ways to rip off a club... so your watching the people who collect the door money, you are watching the bartenders to make sure they put the cash in the till and arent slipping their friends bottles, you have to watch the security to make sure they aint pocketing money and letting people in......you have to watch the patrons and be able to spot potential trouble makers....if someones too drunk etc....i could go on and on

it only takes one incident for your spot to get closed by the authorities so you tend to spend a lot of time stressed
