Don't you have to buy a fire stick for Kodi?Kodi easily puts those same streams on your TV.
Only thing you're paying for with my recommendation is your internet service...

I don't have cable nor cared to get cable in more than a decade. Internet+Gaming=i'm good. Worst case get PS Vue.

I got kodi on my android phone BTW. My girl wants to watch her ratchet TV like love and Hiphop, basketball wives etc. From what I been reading I basically just need to pay for Internet. I however got the hook up with Xfinity free Wifi or access to an account. Would this be useful to have?

Xbox One + Free Movies HD app covers all films, TV shows, and anime. All Netflix original content is up there within 24 hours. No need for Kodi or a Fire Stick
I have a login for cable networks like HBO, FX, VH1, etc.
For live sports I have Watch ESPN or get streams for TNT NBA games on Reddit.
Only pay 65 for internet.

If you still really want to watch LIVE TV and are used to consistent HD, don't believe the hype on KODI. I have it and its good for catching up on TV shows, especially those on premium channels but for LIVE stuff its hit or miss, usually miss. New movies are usually the cam bootlegs.
If you have Fios internet switch to Comcast/Xfinity or vice versa and you probably can get a good deal on internet. I got 200 mbps for $40 for a year from Comcast/Xfinity.
For free tv (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, etc) just buy a cheap HD antenna from Wal-Mart and hook it up to your TV. Its actually the best HD for those channels since its not a compressed signal that comes from the cable box. If you are close to a city, you should be able to get atleast 50 free channels over the air, half in HD, rest are channels that show classic TV shows like Miami Vice, A-Team or Bounce TV which is the free BET. Other channels show stuff like old B movies and Mystery Science Theater 3000 and PBS of course.
For cable, I've been using PS VUE for a month and so far so good. It has 95% (No VIACOM) of the cable TV channels I usually watch (ESPN, TNT, CNN, etc). It has cloud DVR and it works on all the streaming boxes (FireTV, AppleTV, Roku, PS3/4. If you got the cash, I recommend getting the newest 4K FireTV box. PSVUE runs better on FireTV than it does on PS4 imo. You could get the cheapest cable package but I would compare that with PSVUE's $30 package. PSVUE's package comes with most of the popular channels while Fios or Comcast might not have those popular channels in their comparable package. Originally, Comcast gave me their basic cable TV package with my internet but when I hooked it up, all the channels were SD. They wanted me to pay extra for HD so I got rid of it and got PSVUE which is all HD. Also, you don't have to worry about hidden fees like cable box rental and taxes.
For Premium TV (HBO, STARZ, Showtime) use KODI. You won't get it live but all the shows get posted soon after they air.
So in total I'm paying $70 a month with internet and PSVUE.
