The rest of the time we'll see complete chaos or those instance where they play good D for 20 seconds then have a collective brain freeze that allows for the other team to score easily.

Everybody knows they're gonna have that one quarter where they play no defense whatsoever and allow a team to either get back into the game or build a huge lead.
The games where the Lakers consistently play good defense are few and far in between.
