Strictly speaking, it's hard to be authentically black and host a popular male-oriented show that appeals to most American viewers. Cacs don't watch black people who are the antithesis of them. There must be a "middle ground" and Stephen A tries to play that "middle ground" as best he can without leaning too much one side or the other. I've watched Stephen A and frankly speaking, I don't think he truly believes half of the stuff he says when he's c00ning; he just does it so the cac viewers and executives don't think he's a typical "liberal black racist" like Schilling does and fire him because of it. The only reason Curt doesn't fall for Stephen A's tap dancing is because he's so racist and right wing that he knows Stephen A is putting on an insincere act.
