Cut off my locs and got a short taper fade..

Looked perfect when i left the barber and i fell asleep. Now i woke up and the fade doesn't look blended in. How do i maintain this? What direction do i brush? Do i comb? I got some Dax and some Olive oil product, what do i do? I feel retarded. I've never done hair care before

At least you still gotta proper hairline, breh. I’m still fighting for mine. Boomerang Status. Minoxidil is slowly working though.


Anyway… brush with the grain of your hair. Wear a durag to train your hair to lay down with it’s natural grain. With having dreads or longer hair, your follicles and hair have to get re-trained to laying down again.

How do i know what direction my hair grows?

Everybody got a different grow pattern. It’s unique to you. You just gotta start from the crown and figure it out. It’s easier to find out when your hair short like .5 to 1 inch length.
