Eye Cue DA COLI GAWD
The new #12 is bold and black. Browns are back 😎
The best way I can describe this is...I actually somewhat agree with the breh @Eye Cue 182 because I see Goff as a can't miss qb but I'm 95% sure we're going with Wentz. He's a statisticians wet dream aside from his level of competition. Unlike @Eye Cue 182 I think we'll be fine either way as long as we go qb early in the draft. I'd strongly prefer Goff but Wentz is perfectly fine.
Edit:My caveat is that we get more offensive playmakers no matter which qb we roll with. I don't think Wentz will be a bust but I don't see him as a pure pocket qb.
If the Cavs want to draft a QB, why wouldn't they draft Goff?
That's a very simple question but only the Browns would turn it into a very complicated answer.
To me there Goff has the lowest bust-rate in the draft. At the end of the day you know the guy WILL get you into the endzone on a regular basis. He has the highest football IQ, he's accurate, he's mobile and he has the football pedigree to truly take advantage of the current rules that promote high offensive scoring games.
Peope talk about Flacco winning a SB, but he still had a great defense that year and how many SB we really expecting Flacco to win in his career?
Goff is new age football.
Wentz is trying to emulate Joe Flacco of all QBs.
Really? Is this really that hard of a decision?
No it's not.
And really the final component is I need an ON FIELD COMPETITOR and not one that tries to interview himself to the highest draft slot pay check.
Goff is exactly this. Even down big and not playing with the best talent, the guy competes on every throw. He did it against OSU as a freshman. He did if against USC as a junior, and he did it this season against Stanford.
And frankly, Goff simply makes great plays in the pocket that don't require size or arm strength like here as the (1:16) (5:15) (7:45) (11:37) marks.
These are many more plays like that determine wins and loss in the NFL than being about to throw 55 yards flat-footed. Goff is unbelievably comfortable in the pocket. His head is up and he's ready to throw at all times.
This guy is the real deal. But here we are 6 weeks after the season and the media has already created Carson Wentz stans
