Sheard was a proven good player before Farmer dumped him. Mingo is and will always be trash.
Yea the media is making seem like he's a stud who's career we ruined. The comparisons to Jabaal Sheard are ridiculous because Sheard was actually good when he played for us. Mingo has never done anything to prove he deserves a roster spot.

Cutting Kruger exemplifies new Browns way
Decent article here summing up what we're going to see for the near future and hopefully permanent direction of the franchise...cats keep saying we're tanking like the Sixers who cast off everyone for draft picks, including young players... but this really is moneyball. This FO is not going to rock with any vets with big contracts not performing at a high level and they want as many players on the field developing on their rookie contracts as possible. I'll honestly be glad not to see them sign any Bowes or Whitners for a couple years and let the young cats rock, aside from Kessler I think the majority our draft picks are potential starters as long as they get the reps, which would never have happened under Pettine.

I think they drafted him to be exactly what he is, a third string/practice squad level qb. They knew from the jump that they were rolling with griffin and mccown, and I really think they've been targeting Deshaun Watson all along. Kess was just drafted to be a project and not threaten rg3. I wouldn't be shocked if this regime drafted 2 qbs next year
