$6 mill guaranteed in 2017 unless I'm interpreting it wrong. I'm still Fully on the Kizer bandwagon but I know "conventional" nfl wisdom is to have a vet in place, and Kessler is not built to survive a full season.

The Browns will have a decision to make next March (2017), when Griffin is due a $750,000 roster bonus on the third day of the 2017 league year. That and the rest of the deal is non-guaranteed: a $6 million base salary, plus another $750,000 in per-game active bonuses and $3.5 million in incentives

Sashi gave him 7+ mill this season in a los risk high reward deal.
