Sounded like they studied Slum Village and tried their own version to pitch at Sprite for an ‘Obey your thirst’ campaign.

Excpet Sprite rejected the shyt because it wasn’t all the way ‘plant’ sounding.

Yea I agree, their shyt didn't sound natural at all, sounded like they were trying to emulate a sound/feeling that other groups did

They reminded me more of Little Brother but more religious…

“all the way” is probably the only song I can think of that’s heavy on the SV influence

That's fair.

That's also the song that reminds me of them.

I shouldn't hate, their first shyt was cool.

Their actual first legit release strayed too far from where they started though.

The jazzy influence sound was reminiscent of Slum Village but that's where it ended IMO
