Ehhhhh I think it has more to do with a proven track record from the developers with CDprojektred coming off their biggest hit ever and arguably one of the greatest RPG’s ever constructed as opposed to graphics wank. I say give them a chance it’s not as if they haven’t earned any good will.

There aren't too many new games that are innovative out there. Every once in a while that happens. Most game companies just shovel out the same trash as long as people buy it
From what I played so far I agree with the OP, it's very unoriginal and quite frankly an embarrassment to the gaming industry. Games like Infamous Second Son and Killzone has brought more to move the medium forward.

Nothing wrong with that. It's even great. Just not revolutionary or game-changing like some people and sometimes CDProjektRed try to pretend. Not being innovative is fine with me as it doesn't prevent greatness.
