All of are good and all can become OP. Exception may be Assault Rifles since they feel the weakest for some parts of the game compared to what Pistols/Sniper/Precision + Stealth, Shotguns, and SMGs can do with their associated perks.

Just pick 2 weapon types and max out their associated trees. You can't really go wrong outside of very early in the game on very hard trying to fight cyberpsychos too quickly.
ARs and SMGs are boring.

I think pure shotguns or handgun builds are the best and most fun with my limited experience. My current build is fully fledge shotgun, though I can also use heavy weapons too. My next build I'm going full sniper and net runner + stealth
I was wondering if I was the only one who feels like them Ks ain't hittin like they supposed to(kinda like Borderlands)

During the Day I use Shotgun and a Pistol and this Mega Hammer I got from a Mini Boss and at Night I use a Sniper Rifle and a Silenced Death and Taxes Pistol wit the Katana,I also got Thermal Gorilla Arms....running wit my Night Build made me focus more on Developing the Cool Attributes more

Yo that's crazy because I felt the exact same about BL 3. ARs didn't have that umph factor in terms of sound effects or bullet physics for the most part. The story ruined that game too smh.

Are you talking about the hammer from that roided up bytch Sasquatch? I just started a new game doing a blunt weapons build. Is it worth it? :lupe:

ARs and SMGs feel weak in this game. That damn Genjirou pistol y'all told me to get is just as good as those ARs and SMGs. Actually it feels better. hold the trigger down and 40 round clip sprays just like an AR would.

For me it's not the damage, they're just boring.

Shotguns you blowing off limbs.
Pistols knocking off heads
Swords you slicing off limbs
Gorilla arms you beating the brakes off folks.

When you first play the game and get rocked in those fist fights around the city...

Then come back with the Gorilla Arms and tell them double or nothing

I wish we could melee with a sword and with a free hand use the other arm to shoot someone off to the side with a pistol on some Devil May Cry shyt.

For Gorilla Arms to be so simple, they're satisfying. :pachaha:Only reason why I'm not running them is because I'm using shotguns with the launcher combo.

See. This the shyt that makes ARs feel so weak.

You sitting there trying to play Call of Duty and some nikka is launching a mini-nuke from half a block away.

Which ones are you using? For my first play throughs, I was using the default ones from what I remember. This new play through I'm doing, I picked the thermal ones :skip:

yep phantom liberty lets shoot like 5 missiles each time if you charge it up. Instead of just 1 at a time.
Plus with the bonuses you instantly get a recharge. So you can basically spam a barrage or arm missiles

When is the best time to start Phantom Liberty? Haven't went to the voodoo boys yet, but im about to. Figure it leave some side quests for when I get back from the DLC.

I like to do the all the other quests except the final meet hanako at embers quest and then start the phantom liberty dlc.
They have so many call backs to missions you have already completed, that you will miss out on if you do phantom liberty sooner than that. There are even quests that have different endings based on this.
Plus the difficulty level is higher on phantom liberty. So it both gives you time to level up, and doesn't make the rest of the game seem too easy. (some of the gear you get in PL breaks the game basically.)
My internal logic for delaying it, is V doesn't beleive some random caller can help, and only decides to try them once he is desperate and without anymore options besides meeting with Arasaka.

Mid-Act 2 is ideal for me. A lot of people suggest waiting until Act 3, but there's some really solid gear you don't get until a decent bit into the DLC, so starting it a little earlier give you more time with all the toys you get. Definitely don't wanna rush to it though, you probably want to have unlocked the second or third tier of perks in at least one attribute before you go in.

Either way, you can't start it until you square away the situation with the Voodoo Boys, so you'll want to do that to at least unlock it either way.
