I like that ending. At the end of the day, all V was becoming was a glorified killing machine. Hell, corporate V never wanted to be a mercenary, and Reed does try to connect V with a career, so there's that. V is young, and they can always rebuild their life again.

Yea from a practical point of view it should be a happy ending. But shyt was sad seeing him fade away into a sea of random civilian's. No family. No loved ones. Just an absolute nobody. He should feel positive but we all know V will never find happiness in that life. Chances are he lives the rest of his days lonely and miserable.

But for me the Canon ending is still riding off into the sunset with my bytch panam. That basilisk smellin like straight ass and queefs right now:blessed:

:russ:Bruh, you're really exaggerating. The Tower ending V is going to die alone at the start of the game; he's 27 and still has his whole life ahead of him to find love and make friends. Plus, depending on how much you spend, V can have millions of eurodollars in the bank—more than enough to start over.

Haven't looked up the base game endings. Gonna make multiple saves to see how base and DLC endings play out.

Feel like for PL:

Songbird = the ending Johnny would choose

Reed = the ending V would choose

Johnny is anti-corpo everything, so whatever hurts the power structure most is what he'd go with.

V is a merc/nomad/survivor, so ultimately he will pick the ending that allows him to survive....question is whether you V is still "V" or if you think he's basically a vessel for Johnny's mind at this point.

Neither seems all that great. Hopefully the base endings are better.

Time for my 80th restart. Haven’t beat this game one time and I got it first day out :russ:
Play it, breh. I bought it day one and played it day one on PC. shyt is really good. I haven't played the DLC yet though, but it's on my list. It's an AAA game. It's really good. It's not Witcher 3 levels, but it's up there with the best games of the generation. If they haven't fixed it, spam vending machines for things to sell and get money. I grinded on those vending machines like crazy. It was strangely relaxing. :manny:

I do. I play it, they drop some big update coming, and then I’m like I don’t want to get this update in the middle…. Wait for update. Rinse, wash, repeat

Closest I got was actually when it first came out. Got to the last mission and then they announced the first big update.

I really just hate playing two/three versions of the game in the same playthrough. And I can’t figure out whether to stay a netrunner or a slow timing blade runner.

Soon as they drop this, I’m in though

Just completed the DLC. My God:wow:......I couldn't put it down. Refused to sleep until I completed every ending. Played like 16 hours non stop.

Including the dlc, cyberpunk might be the greatest game of all time. The world is just so immersive. And they really leave no stone unturned with every every major decision and ending in the game. It seemed like every ending I did was better than the last. So much detail and thought put into all of em. From an ethical standpoint I think putting so-mi out of her misery was the only the right thing to do. I couldn't allow a beautiful asian dime to live in torture like that. It's just not right.

So that was my personal favorite ending. Even more-so than sending her off into space. Cause she most likely still ends up being used as a tool for destruction. Main positive was Alex surviving and retiring in monte carlo. Killing reed was tough but seems like he was gonna be living in torture anyway.

But no matter what it seemed like every ending you chose was gonna be gloomy as fukk. And that's what I appreciated about it. They build the tension throughout the dlc so you know it's all gonna come down to one major decision for you to make. And the whole time you're dreading that shyt :sadcam:.....you even ask johnny for advice and even he was like "leave me outta this breh. This shyt too hard":yeshrug:.....had me like like "tell me what to do you piece of shyt":damn:

The ending where you get the cure was actually the most depressing of all. Get to live but lost all my homies. Lost my powers. Lost panama :sadcam::mjcry:.....fukk that. I'd rather just off myself at that point.

Just as far as gameplay goes, the ending where you betray so-mi was hands down the best and most rewarding. Running through the facility hiding from that crazy ass robot. That legit might be the greatest horror sequence in gaming history. Even better than actual horror franchises do it. Hearing them robot footsteps coming up behind me while I was trying to quickly open them doors :damn:.....never felt that tension in a game before. Just played RE9 and nothing in that game even came close.

Then also the way that experience ends up blending into so-mi's life in Brooklyn. Getting to see a glimpse of who she was and what they put her through. Was just all around amazing storytelling. And made the decision to put her out of her misery that much easier. The whole experience was just incredible. Now I understand why this game made such a huge comeback after its horrible release. This shyt really is GOAT status.
Basically.

Before I throw Game Pass in the bushes I'm getting everything out the way since the dumbass toddlers lost my physical game about a year back. I do remember when I lost it/took a break the only real issue with it that I had (and I believe its intentional) was its effect on my mental health, between the murkiness, the hopelessness, and the pounding music.. Its a hyper depressing atmosphere that probably actually hits harder sociopolitically than it did even during the fukking lockdown.

I'm running this with female V this time. All in all Ive hit the

kill myself ending,
both PL endings (kept the save file so I could do the Betray So Mi for last) and The Tower (just finished today 😔)
