According to @PlayStationSize, the game will be available for PlayStation users to pre-load on Tuesday 8th December 2020. The game then launches on Friday 10th December.

as stated earlier in this thread...the 10th is a global release date which means cats in the US will be getting it a “day earlier”

reviews come out monday

can preload the game tuesday

and play it wednesday

Is this coming out separately on PS5 eventually or is just going to be a free upgrade to the PS4 version? Debating on if I should get it for PS4 to play on the PS5 or just wait if an actual PS5 version is coming out....

Free upgrade. Problem is, they don't have a date for when next gen will be out.

So, you could hold off, and just buy the game whenever that comes out, but if you're really excited, you can play now (it'll have select optimizations for next gen) and just upgrade whenever the new version is out.

Ps4 version gets free upgrade next year but can play it on ps5 because it's backwards compatible

unless they changed plans the ps5/xsx versions will still be graphically enhanced from the ps4 pro/xbx1x versions with a patch
they just won't have ray tracing like the pc version until next year
