That's what I don't get with this whole angle. Shane and DB are literally playing the opposites of what they're booked as.

Technically Shane is a face, as he aligns himself with faces, does what he can to look out for/protect faces, and has been feuding with heels KO/Sami Zayn who 1. let him eat a 20 ft fall off a Cell and 2. sabotaged Survivor Series for SD Live. By all means he's absolutely been fukked over and now he's getting his payback...but he's doing so with heel tactics. Firing nikkas, slow counting as a special guest ref, bullying DB and constantly undermining his attempts to be fair.

On the flipside, we have DB who could technically be viewed as a tweener/heel for aligning himself with KO/Zayn, fast counting to have them keep their jobs and is constantly undermining Shane, yet he walks out and cuts face promos?


Booking is stupid, and it looks like a setup to a one off DB return at Mania.

You perfectly explained why the latest chapter in the SD story seems like it's from a different book than the one we've been reading, so I snipped that...but to comment on your quote...if they actually are just trying to hurt Bryan's stock, yet are hyping his in-ring return to another promotion, I would die laughing.

It would also open them up to so much legitimate stockholder frustration.

That's why I don't buy the "they are trying to hurt his momentum before he leaves" theory. If WWE wanted to cool D-Bry off they would do to him what they did to Rey Mysterio and get him out of TV and act like he never existed.

Even though his return will have the IWC losing their shyt regardless of what WWE does, they know giving him the MAIN PROGRAM on a weekly TV show is not going to hurt dude at all.
