If the team is good enough to be a top four team without you, does the team really need you to "carry" them? The way that word is thrown around you would think this team has 9 wins right now or some shyt.

offensively yes our defense is our backbone but if we don't out-rebound and hustle and limit turnovers we have a difficult time scoring/winning we are a below average fast breaking team. He will also immensely improve us defensively.

A lot of Bulls fans in this thread think Rose is saying this just to get the front office to make a move. My thing is when had Rose ever played the media game in his career. Personally I think he likes being the outright best player on the team and seems to legitimately enjoy the bulls core. Some of which have been there since he has been drafted. Also, they gave the guy a Max deal and extension for a guy they recently changed a CBA for and created a rule for. I doubt it when people say he has never had any input in this team's roster

the word "carry" is thrown around here because most of us are knowledgeable basketball fans, who understand the flaws of the roster. we know thibs is a great reg season coach, but we also know his minute management and rotations are in question and it puts the bulls in a dilemma. we also know in a 7 game series that good defenses will expose most of these players on our squad. this will lead to rose who is still the only dynamic scorer we have on the team to have to go nuts to get us to the conference finals. nate robinson is dynamic but realistically we know his minutes will be reduced because we know how thibs runs his rotations. so this is a playoff argument, not some reg season shyt.

i dont think he trying to get the bulls to make a move, i know that he personally recruited kirk hinrich. this imo is rose people, family, management that is throwing the "improve the roster" shyt around cause they trying to save rose from himself. i only think that rose has changed his approach on returning. where as before he would be on some rushing to get back for the fans shyt, he getting a little more responsible for his own well being and saying fukk this rush back shyt he need to make sure he can handle all that will be required of him to make the team successful.

rose and his people follow the net, they saw the anticipation brewing and i think it just rose saying let me make sure i can come back and be decent.

if the dude take the year off meh, we were not going to win it all with this roster anyway. not about just fighting this season but for the next decade

If he doesn't come back this season at all I'm gonna be pissed at everyone from drose & co to the front office. Cuz we could have legitimately tanked starting in October instead of going hard all season. Why get everyone's hopes up for 50+ games and throw it in the bushes now? If you look at the standings... all it would take is a nice losing streak (which is hard to imagine with Thibs coaching) and the Bulls could slide.

I wonder if Rose/Rose's camp is waiting to see if the team slides out of the 4-6 range before making a decision.
