Using the logic that he shouldn't come back until the team has a better shot at winning a title is problematic simply because as long as MIA has their team, there's no guarantee they win anyway.
Yeah but how does that look as far as positioning? Imagine it the other way around: "Rose we WANT to pay you the max, but since Miami has that team we just can't assure you'll win so it's not worth it..

I understand adidas wanting to look out for their investment, but if he dont play how are they gonna recoup what they've already spent?
but you can't hold the squad hostage cuz you want them to make moves. not when you are in the first year of a damn near $100 contract. that ain't cool either. no matter what happens, his family is gonna be taken care of cuz of that guarunteed money. so that's part of what I dont understand about the rose camp being concerned about their investment. they are gonna get that NBA and adidas money whether or not he ever plays again. ask brandon roy about that.
