Out here in my damn drawls
The dress code was, key word, was about professionalism. The dress code is much more relaxed now than it was when it was first instituted. But if you're a short sighted dude you don't see the bigger picture was about cleaning up the league's image & raising the profile of the league's stars. Probably one of the best moves Stern did as commissioner was to put it into place...I'm glad the current generation of players have embraced it & put their own look onto it.

Again: What's professional about the flamboyant styles that alot of these dudes rock?

I told you the dress code is much more liberal than when Stern first put it into place. It is more relaxed now & IDK why. But I don't see the outrage over professional athletes dressing professionally...wearing a 5X white tee with baggy jeans and timbs wasn't a good look back then for players to be wearing post game or in press conferences & that was a by product of the league just getting younger b/c of the high schoolers entering the league at that time. It should be more professional dress in the league now, but I don't have as big a problem with the current styles as some of y'all do

Raise the profile to who:mjpls:? Aint none of these new nikkas bigger stars than the ones that thrived when the league supposedly had a "dirty image".....remind me who was that image dirty to btw:mjpls:?

Pretty sure the dress code was just a big fukk you to A.I and the influence he had on nikkas in the league. Apparently it has worked,Dwade here thanking white daddy stern from saving them all from they uncultured black daddy:aicmon:....The only good thing I hope comes from this is that white people remain uncomfortable as nikkas in jerseys with tattoos continue to come to the stadiums and are actually in the stands sitting next to them.....I hope the sales of NBA jerseys have dropped across the board becuz casual fans are no longer buying them as hiphop is off that:scusthov:....and I hope headband and armband sales tanked now that nikkas aint wearing 5 of each at a time:laff:

I know they don't care about black paying customers spending our money as the Atlanta hawks owner pointed out....but as much money as the hiphop culture spend on nba apparel, jerseys, hats, shoes and people who sponsor them. FOr the nba to say "We don't want our athletes to look like you:scust:" is a smack in the face.

cant say im happy knowing the nba mighta lost out on some black dollars, cuz nownikkas still spending money on designers who don't market to us and would probably rather us not be the image of they shyt either:snoop:

this was all the white mans plot to feminize the black male....

and as usuall nikkaz fell for it hook line and sinker
Feminize? Not this time.

The dress code said to dress business casual. All the capri pants, polka dot blouses and legwarmers, thats all from the players.

AI is my dude and I'd wear a lot of his outfits before I ever wore one of Westbrook's, but he was wrong as hell for this one.

The fashion sense of the 2000's was TERRIBLE.
I can't believe nikkas in the Coli actually say they miss those days.:why:
A lot was ridiculous. Carmelo was wearing a suit that looks like it was made to fit Jonathan Ogden. You could've fit another Carmelo into that. Kobe wearing a necklace and Donovan McSwagg jersey is fine by me. Yeah he's dressed like a fan, but that ain't bad. Besides, I bet he's the only philly native who could be a fan of his.
