It has to do more with his relationship with Ryan Smith, the majority owner of the Jazz. They've been friends for years and Wade's values align with Smith who is a pretty big progressive who does work with Tim Cook on a lot of social justice initiatives for the disenfranchised. Also, its not like the Jazz are in a slump. They have a bright future, might sneak around and grab a championship (if Mitchell stays healthy) and this move expands Wade's footprint from outside of South Florida, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

If dwade had any aspirations of ownership or team building in general, a position and stake should have been offered by the Heat.

I honestly thought that would happen like when Magic owned apart of the Lakers.

That not happening for MJ and Bulls is what caused these situations. When a player is synonymous with a franchise like MJ and Dwade ain’t no way they should be somewhere else....it doesn’t look good.

This is really why I call the Lakers GOAT franchise fr, Dr. Buss especially was the top sports team owner in terms of paying it forward. He blessed Magic when he got HIV when he didn’t have to.
