I mentioned him as one of our few good draft picksChalmers wasn't an impact player?
I ran the mock draft simulator 5 times and got the Heat up to #2It happens, but I feel like posting about the guys will get people's hopes up in this thread -
Giannis & Kawhi - 15th pick
Jimmy Butler - 30th pick
Karl Malone - 13th pick
But, it's such a rarity and there doesn't seem to be anyone in this draft that fits that mold.

Pat needs to make some sort of trade package. We've really drafted poorly since 2004 anyway. Who've we taken? Winslow, Tyler Johnson, and Mario Chalmers? That's our best in the last 13 years of the draft. Gotta find a trade we can swing that's gonna bring someone here.

as a cornerstone piece in this draft yet
I know this is the part where other teams fans come in and make it as if they're the reason we're not in, but the season is the sum of all 82 games. Double OT loss to the fukking Magic back in December hurt us more than losing to the Raptors, Knicks, whoever else. That raptors loss came back to bite tall

ok but you cited two players the Spurs drafted 18 and 16 years agoI mentioned him as one of our few good draft picks

Yeah. To illustrate the point that they've been finding productive players consistently without getting lottery picks. They happened to be two of them.ok but you cited two players the Spurs drafted 18 and 16 years ago![]()
I was invested into the tank and really checking out all the players in the top ten this year
I started doing research on middling players during the streak and I ain't seen any that make meas a cornerstone piece in this draft yet

the boys showed fight and we aint go out like no hoe. we'll be back brother
I was just trying to figure out why you had this imaginary starting point for us beginning at 04 while the Spurs get credit for something they did 20 years agoYeah. To illustrate the point that they've been finding productive players consistently without getting lottery picks. They happened to be two of them.
