with only 30 million in cap space I find it hard to believe that we'll be able to keep both JJ and Dion.

Brooklyn owes Boston their pick next year as well, they're going to throw a ton of huge offers around this offseason especially seeing how the whiffed on TJ and Crabbe last year.

Eh, I kinda agree but I'll say three things about this.

1. Dion has absolutely shown to be a 4th round pick in terms of sheer talent and ability. He's only 25 and he can only get better with more experience. It's totally possible that he could love us so much that he takes a smaller deal to help bring back some of our guys.

2. Spo shut everyone of us up who has been shytting on him for 3-4 years. Dude is a great coach who has been dealt some hard hands.

3. It's possible we could pull a Spurs and fleece a Kawhi
Breh, if we had picks or time to play with I might entertain this, but this offseason is do or die, TJ got 20 fukking million on deck next year. Then we got to figure out whether Richardson is worth shyt

And this is with Bosh and McRoberts (gets him out of here) off the books?

You aren't getting rid of a McRoberts without packaging him for something. The fukk team you think is gonna move any assets for him.

And yes, that's with Bosh's contract off the books. If he plays a game then we're fukked

you right, I did win. I'm proud of the fight in this team and I'm happy to root for an organization that doesn't blow games for a prayer. I'm glad you and the rest of the tankers lost.

Breh, I was getting CRUCIFIED in the Knicks thread for going against the tank. I was starting to think I was in the minority for being against the idea of tanking.

We probably won't. :yeshrug:

Dion bet on himself and came up huge. Evan Turner making mad money and Dion way better than him.

We're losing Reed and probably one of those guys. If we keep all 3, we're not signing anyone.

Ask the Spurs breh, you get the right player, all it takes is one year. We're a team full of "scrappy" players. Put them around somebody substantial and you can start to work shyt out. Instead, we apparently have to pay every above average role player that passes through

edit- fukk that, ask US about 2003

The problem is who is this substantial guy coming out of this draft and could he have helped Whiteside and Dragic win now? Is there a once in a generation talent coming out this year? They say that every year. "This year's draft is deep." Then you end up with Michael Carter Williams or D'angelo Russell and by year 2 you end up wanting to replace Russell with Lonzo Ball or whoever the hell is the next big thing. How many teams have goals to tank hard for one year looking to land a D Wade in the draft only to land a MKG?
:scust:

This season allowed us to evaluate what we currently have on our roster because remember in the beginning we were wondering who the hell these guys were on our roster. If we had tanked anf ended up never winning another game after starting 11-30 would we have been able to say for certain that Tyler Johnson Hassan White side Josh Richardson Wayne Ellington Rodney McGruder Willie Reed and James Johnson are good role players to have in your team? No because remember we were talking about clearing house during that time.

I think that Dion Waiters has the potential to be above average with the current system he is in right now. Our lineup was working with him in it. We were scoring more than even during the Big 3 days. I think this is sustainable and that he is worth the money. If you're concerned about giving money to a guy with a small sample of good games we did the same with Whiteside and he just had one of the best seasons that a heat center has played.

TJ only on deck for 5.8 next season. We backloaded the fukk out of his contract.

Cats want everything to be easy. Lose games, get a stud in the draft, win championships. It rarely works that way. Sometimes you have to sit through a down year where guys develop and learn how to win to get to where you want to be. Too many people try to short cut that process and wonder why their teams dont go anywhere
