26/27 is young as hell brother.
The label “kid” wasnt meant to imply child like. It came out of endearment and to try to help alleviate that pressure/gatekeeper “you must be X and Y by certain ages” stuff that gets put on young brothers approaching 30
Most just don’t realize just how young 26-32 really is until you get north of 35 and still have a youthful bounce and energy to you if you take care of yourself
shyt the ONLY thing I’d go back and say to my 26/27 year old self is “run your race at YOUR pace” these older heads don’t have it all figured out either.
They’re just better at pretending to.
100...
I was clowning with this chick at work yesterday who said her knee hurt and I said she was 17½ (I'm 30). She said, I'm actually 24, and got mad about it lol...
Me and this 40-year old I work with started laughing...
This happened last week too, guy just turned 22 and I said I thought he was 19 and he got mad...
The point I'm illustrating is the younger you are, you always think there's a bigger difference between 19 and 22 than there actually is; when you're 24, 30 seems further away than it actually is. And in correlation to that, many don't enjoy their youth to the fullest or realize how young they are because of said standards placed upon younger kids...
So you see different age markers as "old" when they really aren't. It took me to get to 29 to realize how young you are in your 30s...
I agree. People believing you can't do shyt after a certain age leads people to missing opportunities and having a poor person mentality.
