Da Mafia 6ix - Watch What U Wish (Drops March 17th 2015) Album Discussion Thread

Finally got around to hearing the whole album.

Thought it started kinda slow (Dat Ain't Inya and 50 Bands was :manuehh:

Then this was straight

Forever Get High would be a club banger if it ever got played in one. The beat on Come Get Sum :demonicabel: Koop ripped some tracks too (prefer the tracks where he gets aggressive on the beat instead of singing on the entire track).

Main gripe I have is You Can't should have been a full posse cut. That beat, that energy, and Lil' Infamous has his dad's flow down to a T. The shyt talking at the end of it

Paul was too subdued on the outro. We got the instagram/twitter handles already. Would have loved to hear him speak on the experience of everyone being back together the past couple of years.

Overall, 6ix Commandments was the best project the group dropped since the reunion took place. I think it set the bar way too high for anything else following it, plus knowing Lord ain't here anymore takes away from these newer projects.

The posthumous Lord Infamous verses went hard. Even tho one of 'em was recyled

I think they used the original recording for some of those verses.

I like Loco old stuff. He good but he raps in too many different styles. Him and Lil Infamous have another cd coming out soon

I miss the hypnotizing beats that made them HCP. But thats for the seed of 6. This sound like a old David Banner cd.

That beat man...and then the yelling at the end of the track. Infamous: "THE SIX IS BACK!"

IDK about y'all but I'm, satisfied with the album.

Yea everyone expected another 6ix Commandments blah blah, but for what this album is, Paul did the best he could without Juicy. That's admirable.

I'm cool with it too. I mean I thought the Mafia was done after Last 2 Walk, even though Paul and Juice had some nice solo mixtapes. To be blessed with the Commandments mixtape and this album, plus Hear Sum Evil...I'm cool if this is the last collective album. Just sucks losing Infamous...I think the run would have been much longer if he was still around.

Finally got around to hearing the album

damn it's fukking solid, exactly how a Three Six Mafia album should sound like in 2015

MUCH props to DJ Paul for keeping it real and NOT putting anything that even sounds remotely like a crossover record on the album

tracks 1-15 are amazing, the production is trunk-ready

as far as the lyrics go everybody did their thing especially La Chat, unfortunately all the standout Infamous verses were on 6ix Commandments

the last four songs were mediocre and unnecessary IMO, could've gone without them and it would be a 10/10 album

8/10 off the first listen, I'm gonna be bumpin this just like 6ix Commandments and Hear Sum Evil
