Trust I'm not gonna march in Selma for no damn DaBaby. :mjlol:

Just seemed on par with typical hip hop degeneracy, especially with how much DaBaby has already gotten away with. Haven't followed this story and was curious why it's such a big topic.

So thats what this is really about.

He got the typical social media backlash after his initial comments at his concert, but he didn’t start getting pulled from shows and taken off of playlists until he went on social media and kept talking s#it. If he would have just issued a statement that said that he was ignorant about HIV/AIDS and didn’t mean any harm this story would have been out of the news cycle after 24 hours.

dude needed to stick to doing gimmicks at every performance (*throwing fake packs of weed etc) but this gimmick just ain't it in 2021.

doubling down on some unnecessary stage banter while still trying to appeal as a pop/crossover artist is exactly self-sabotage plain and simple.

it's a liability to book artists at major festivals who don't just get on the fukking stage and play the hits, point blank.

So what’s triggering this response more?

The...

“if you ain’t show up today HIV/AIDS or a STD that’ll have you die in 2 weeks put your self phone in the air”

Or...

“Fellas if you ain’t suckin sick in the parkin lot put your cell phone light in the air”

Cuz the backlash seems excessive as hell for either of these shyts.
that's your opinion, the mfs with money see it differently. His whole rant was unnecessary, he has nobody to blame but himself

Wow. He can have his values and beliefs - everyone does. But how you say it counts.
Personally if I'm not for something I let it be and go for what I want.

It's fukked up though because these festivals cancelling him is not a good look for his career.

I hope Hip Hoppers don't wild out against the gay community worse now.

If they haven't already.

Bless and peace.

I know, but its very hard for me to find sympathy for rich entertainers.

You got a fukking pop audience now, my guy. A Grammy performance.

Life would have just kept going for him had me just, yes, shut the fucc up.
