Of course a 29 year grown man called "da baby", didn't write an apology letter, or any letter for that matter. I don't know his music, but I am almost certain his lyrics aren't that deep and complicated.

With that being said, I don't see anything wrong he said in the first place.

Back in the 80s and 90s rapper said this to hype the crowd like, If you aren't on welfare, throw your hands in the air. I've never heard anyone complain about being an anti-social welfare recipient.
I agree fam I didn’t even think twice about the shyt he said when I heard it,definitely didn’t think this would be the outcome not even close

Welfare, however in accurate from a statistical standpoint, is associated with black women. Rants against “gays” and people with “hiv” is seen as an attack against a protected class whose power is overwhelmingly wielded by white people. That rant coming from a black man is seen as unacceptable by the dominant society.

But that was a decade ago. Meaning that cancel culture was not really a thing back then. But times have changed, and so that means that da baby should have known better. His comments were completely random and had no relevance to his songs. I mean, the guy had caught a body, assaulted a woman, and he has been in trouble with the law, and yet he was still getting the bag. The guy plays up to an extremely ignorant role. People will say all types of ignorant comment in private but not in a public setting.

So regardless, our perspective, we are not in the industry, and we do not have the industry bag.

They probably did but nobody cared to listen

It’s news now when people admit they’ve had AIDS/HIV for years when they said before that being LBGT had more to do about than just sex.

Back in the '80s and '90s the term "welfare" was used as in hype rant, that's the point. And yes, it was used a shamed tactic to the crowed to those that did and to boost confidence to those who didn't. It was not about how accurate it was statistically or is. I see this hype rant by Da Baby no different.

And I remember how in the late '80s Steady B told to start to put on condoms as a precaution. That was considered so controversial, and from what I recall it even reached the president or the media telling Steady B not to talk about that no more in public. As an alternative term in rap music they started to use words like Jim Browski, the Jimmy. And it's known that not only gay folk get HIV/ AIDS, thou it was predominantly gay folks that got it when it first was known in the 80s. And from what I understand it still is, due to anal sexual intercourse. (which to me is not a socking surprise, since there's a large amount of germs in the rectum).

Yes, that was decades ago, not a decade ago, and no-one was bothered by it (that's hip hop). It was during the time of conscious hip hop and social awareness.

And cancel culture has to do with social media. The only thing that has changed is that the made something out of nothing. As if it's normal to have HIV / AIDS in 2021, such a dikk at a parking lot, or for female not to take care over her sexual organs. Only someone weird would consider this an insult. I don't know about you, but I am not insulted by not having HIV/ AIDS, or for never sucked a dikk, let a lone at a parking lot, or smelling a p*ssy that was not fresh and clean.

In 2021 now have gay dudes pandering to children, while literally spreading their butt cheeks on music videos. And we are supposed to say nothing. That all should be cool and not be canceled, right?

It probably has to do with certain social standards and ethics? What you do think?

What is the endgoal of this debauchery is what I’m asking you.

His comments were completely random and had no relevance to his songs.

It's not up to you how he is going to hype the crowed, or how relevant you consider it or not. And I sure the crowed itself was not bothered by the hype rant. In fact it boosted confidence and pride in them to not have "any of these stigmas". I applaud that in 2021.

I mean, the guy had caught a body, assaulted a woman, and he has been in trouble with the law, and yet he was still getting the bag. The guy plays up to an extremely ignorant role. People will say all types of ignorant comment in private but not in a public setting.

I have read someone else talk about this on some other site. I don't know the guy (Da Baby), I only know about this controversy he's is involved in. However, I don't see what that has to do with what he said at that concert. People are reaching to make a point.

So regardless, our perspective, we are not in the industry, and we do not have the industry bag.

You need to speak for yourself, not for someone else since you don't know I am or not, have or haven't been. That as just another mistake you've made in your reasoning.
