Behind You
I have a couple thoughts on this:
First, it is so obviously a political/election driven move and it shows just how desperate the Obama campaign is now that he is actually triangulating like Bubba Clinton. This was supposed to be a cakewalk yet this campaign has become an actual dogfight and I don't think the Obama campaign or the Democrats in general were expecting it.
Second, one of the stipulations for not being deported/getting a work permit is that the illegal immigrant would have to prove that he or she was brought into the country by their parents before he or she was 16 years old. How exactly is that going to be enforced? What proof is the government going to ask for to prove this? And will they deport the illegal parents? If not does that mean we will basically have a backdoor amnesty program as long as you bring your small children with you as you sneak into the country?
Third, adding another bunch of people to the already competitive work force sounds like a recipe for disaster to me but maybe I am not looking at this from all sides. Will they be eligible for unemployment compensation? And how badly will Homeland Security fukk up the implementation of this initiative? I wouldn't trust Janet Napolitano to perform the duties of a school crossing guard. She's a moron.
Fourth, Marco Rubio has to be heated as a mofo. Especially with how the Latino groups were ripping him apart for his version of the Dream Act which had the same provision in it and now they are dancing in the streets like this is a brand new idea. Oh well serves him right for being a Tea Party Republican.

RENO, Nevada
Obama just locked up the latino vote
70+ percent guaranteed in november

TEXAS, AZ,FLA,CA have the largest population of immigrants

AZ is a red state,

TX is a red state...

CA will always be a liberal paradise..(why i live here) blue state

so the only "voters" this really effects are the ones in FLA and OHIO.. texas will always vote republican, AZ will vote republican.. and CA will always BE LIBERAL...

FLA has a huge CUABN population that is 90% republican....

EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE POSTING BULLshyt

The ELECTION will come down to 2 states..... FLORIDA... AND OHIO.... THAT IT!..

florida has a HUGE JEW population... in the south.. and a redneck base in the panhandle...

CO, NV, NM... that's where the latino vote is important.
Obama can win without FL, as long as he keeps PA and OH. He's got multiple options to 270.

Romney has to win all of the states that Bush carried in 2004 to have a shot (CO,NV,NM,VA,FL,OH,NC,IA)

no it's not fair if they came illegally, which they still do actually

We had this debate once on SOHH and I understand where you're coming from. I van vouch for this idea by Obama, but I also have no problem whatsoever with the fact that he's deported more people than anyone else. People without immigrants in their family sometimes just don't get how much of a slap in the face hearing that amnesty would be given to all these people when others had family members that had through sit through civil wars and wait on lotteries for the chance to get in. Meanwhile, they also had to be at least high school educated. There was a control process to the the type of immigrant that could get in. It was annoying to hear people complain and call you racist when many central American countries have tougher immigration policies than the United States. All for merely pointing that out. I think people divorced from having family members that you've been hoping to get over the United States for nearly a decade just don't get it.

I know too many people close to that situation. But I hold nothing against people in my age group, and I understand a man wanting a better life for his family. It's always and always will be difficult for me to be mad at any of those people when I meet them face to face. I don't have that gene in me. But let's not pretend that some non-racist people who are sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and cousins of other immigrants don't have a legitimate reason to feel some kind of way. Let's be realistic, there won't be some massive effort to deport the parents of people who are given legal status. So while I supported the Dream Act and I support this, I have trouble figuring out how I feel overall that in the end the luck of the draw of being born conveniently located near the United States is why my friend's cousin gets to stay and my cousin had to grow up with and be tempted by rebels and child soldiers.

I just don't know.
