Would you like the teacher to do the students homework? Unless this kid has a learning disability....I don't know what the teacher can really do.
Parents who want their kids to get good grades, and truly put the effort in generally have kids with good grades.
This seems to be more the reflection of the parent than of the child.
Maybe the parent should spend less time trying to get busy with some clippers, and more time sitting down with their child and figuring out why it is that the child has bad grades in the first place.
This isn't going to make the child respect their parent anymore, it'll just help open the void even more, and let the child know that their parents are jokes.
