1,2 Switch comes across as a glorified game of rock paper scissors style mini-games to me. Maybe you see something more.
Of course I see something more.
I see gaming reaching levels we never even thought possible.
Sony has already removed the need for a TV with PSVR.
Nintendo is taking it a step further, by removing the need for a screen of any kind.
I suspect the Switch 2 will remove the need for controllers altogether and will be able to be played everywhere you go.
Be skeptical if you want but I'll take a perma ban bet that within the next 3 - 5 years Nintendo will release a console that will allow you to play rock paper scissors without the need of the console, any controllers, or screens for that matter.

Just like how some folks look at a VR game video and say "oh it's just like a TV ducktaped to your face with a camera"which makes no sense. Until you try it, you'll literally have no leg to stand on to state it's not a great tech.
Not saying it is or isn't great tech but at a certain point why do you need to play Nintendo money to play children's hand games?

It's almost as if we're talking about a live action version of this but not as charming.

because that tech isn't limited to that one specific game. It'll be implemented across a wide variety of games from what I assume. You can't get the feeling of shaking bottles in a glass on Playstation sir.

This game would be cool with AR, where you still look at the other players instead of the tv, but the AR glasses would add some game stuff to your world :ehh:

The HD rumble in the Switch sounds like it's really dope. It'll probably be a feature that third parties use and make standard. To preface, it's not the same as just the rumble triggers in the XB1 gamepad. From the impressions I've seen, people said the games that used it made it feel like things are inside the controller like Link aiming a bow you could feel the tension of pulling the bowstring or whatnot.
the Vive controllers are like that. it's basically like a series of 'clicks'. as you pull the bow string back, the clicks get closer together. it is interesting because it really does fool your brain into thinking there's tension

It's crazy how everyone looks at nintendo as a joke now. They used to be the king. I hope they start bringing the games to Xbox and PS
